The water supplied by
Delhi Municipal Authorities is of approx. 400 TDS, whereas the TDS of the
boring water is approx. 800. And I understand that the RO process is the best
for purification purposes. Now If I am
using RO for the water purification for drinking purposes, the TDS of the
municipal water comes to approx. 25 with Ph 6.9 and that of the ground water to
approx 45 . I have also seen an article from the Water Quality Association
stating that there is no health hazards of drinking low tds Water Hence , my
question is: which water is the best for drinking purposes.

For drinking water, the maximum concentration level set by
EPA is 500 mg/L.
World Health Organization (WHO) has prescribed an acceptable
limit of 500 mg/L.
